Kelly rejoined her former club on a six-month loan deal on deadline day following days of speculation over her Manchester City future amid a deterioration in her relationship with the Citizens.
The 27-year-old, who is out of contract with City at the end of the season, also took to social media days before the last-minute move to explain her frustration over this season.
Kelly was ineligible to play against her parent club in Arsenal's last Women's Super League match, and again in the League Cup, while she was cup-tied for their FA Cup win over London City Lionesses last weekend.
In the North London derby against Tottenham on Sunday, she could make her first appearance in the WSL for Arsenal since June 2017, when she scored against Bristol City.
Should she play this weekend, 2,815 days since that game, it would be the second-longest gap between two appearances for the same club by an outfield player in the competition, after Toni Duggan for Everton (2,897 days).

"I had a really good conversation with Sarina about that. It's clear that I need to get football under my belt, and it's really important to do that," Kelly added.
"Sarina is a top manager and I put so much trust into her. She's been so successful, so I think what's best for the team is me not going to this camp and getting that football in my legs.
"I want to be at the best for England and Arsenal, so it's really important that I listen to the people around me and move forward.
"In 2022 [after an ACL injury], I was still not even training with the team at this time. For me, it's about getting minutes under my belt and when I do get onto the pitch, show what I'm capable of again."
